They also offer occasional tours of their distillery, as well as other events and live music. Timekeeper Distillery is currently open Monday – Friday, from 4:00 P.M. Their cocktails have so far proven delicious, and they also serve a variety of light meals to keep customers satisfied, such as meat and cheese boards, flatbreads, and soups. Once you step inside the restored train depot, it’s like stepping back in time to a speakeasy but of course one with a modern flare fit for the times. Spirit production is overseen by Dan Weber, co-owner and former brewer for the Great Dane Pub.
The distillery makes all of its spirits in house, including gin, vodka, bourbon, and rye whisky.

Beyond the great restaurants that are here, Wausau actually has some great live music venues, breweries, and bars worth checking out. But what do you do in Wausau during the evening hours? Luckily, there are plenty of great options for that, too. Take a hike through Rib Mountain State Park or any other number of hiking trails in the area, go skiing or curling during the winter months, go kayaking through Wausau Whitewater, visit the latest exhibits at the Woodson Art Museum, or check out the latest festival or event happening in the 400 block of downtown Wausau. There are plenty of things to do in Wausau during the day.
